New York // World Business Institute Conference - CAN SLIM paper
I wrote a paper on how to make money (or not lose money) in the stock market for a class in Spring of 2015. I published it in the Asian Journal of Economic modeling, small low impact journal but still on google scholar. I have also build a website which you can download it from: yetul.github.io.
I went to two conferences the next year, one in Pensacola, and another in Oklahoma City. Both sent letters of interest to publish in their Journals. I sent in the article to the journal in OKC (Federation of Business Disciplines). I ended up getting rejected with revisions. The feedback I got from the rejection was enough to think that revising the paper would amount to writing a new paper and conducting new research. So, I decided to get with my co-author and submit to another conference in New York, which I attended this past July.
I got a couple of journal offers from low level journals at this conference.
It was a good opportunity to network, share ideas, get feedback, and learn from other professionals. This particular conference was interdisciplinary and covered topics such as supply chain management, investing, and others.
