St. Petersburg/Tampa

I took a trip to St. Petersburg, and Tampa Florida in the first two weeks of May. It was a time to reunite with some old friends, and make some new ones. I had time to enjoy Kayaking along Tampa Bay, stand up paddle boarding, and some adventures downtown St. Petersburg. I topped off the trip with a trip to Tropicana Field. Pictures up on Facebook, and Instagram. I drove in my Wrangler, and stayed at a friends house. It ended up being a low budget adventure, with high excitement!

Atlanta, GA AEA/ASSA

I went to AEA/ASSA in Atlanta, GA to interview for jobs. My experience was positive overall. AEA/ASSA is a massive conference. I was able to network and meet other students that are on the job market and students that are in their second year. Some of the guys (and gals) were job market as a 6th year student, and others were there presenting working as a post doctorate. I met a lot of students from top schools (MIT, HARVARD, Boston College, Carnegie Mellon). It was cool. Most of the students I met were from an economics background.

Spent the weekend cross country skiing and hiking in Grand Marais, Michigan. Great short trip for a break from the holidays. Got to see and old friend and do some outdoor activity.
