Fort Pike, New Orleans.
Sitting in the comfortable char in my living room. Decided to do some typing on the new machine I bought for the new year. I decided on an ASUS laptop which seems comfortable enough to spend time on it coding and working on research for school. I decided on a gaming computer even though I really don't play any games, other than call of duty for Playstation. It's January in New Orleans; I like to freewrite, get over it. I'd like to start working on some coding and possibly break out a second bog dedicated to investment research. That's probably a good place to start if I want people to actually look at this thing. In anycase, I went to a civil war fort that was later used to train soldiers in World War I last weekend. It was an hour drive from NOLA. The town reminded me a bit of Upper Michigan, minus the visible sand in January. We got to a small house converted in to a gas station with bar attached. In the middle of the afternoon one could only expect a few regulars at the bar, but the windows in the back behind the pool table looked out in to the swamp and what seemed to be a bayou connecting to the gulf of Mexico. Pretty cool for a small town Michigan boy. I didn't take any pictures of the inside but I did get my Jeep and a couple of the fort. Feedback would be appreciated on organizing photos. It takes so long to get them on to the computer and then optimized for web-based viewing. I forgot to mention that I am great! Things are great. I'm going to keep telling myself that. I'm 26, I've been a homeowner for going on 6 years. I'm at running speed with my classwork in the PhD program for financial economics in New Orleans. I've published two articles and am set to work on a third this year.
